The Sirius 26 is a development of the [[Engineering:Kelt 7.6|Kelt 7.6]], production of which ran from 1980 to 1984. ==Design==
The Sirius 26 is a recreational [[Engineering:Keelboat|keelboat]], built predominantly of fibreglass. It has a masthead sloop rig, a raked stem, a reverse transom, a transom-hung [[Engineering:Rudder|rudder]] controlled by a [[Engineering:Tiller|tiller]] and a fixed wing keel. It displaces {{convert|4500|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} and carries {{convert|1790|lb|kg|0|abbr=on}} of lead ballast.<ref name="Data"/><ref name="Guide"/><ref name="Lab"/><ref name="YDB"/>

The boat has a draft of {{convert|3.17|ft|m|abbr=on}} with the standard wing keel fitted and is normally fitted with a small [[Engineering:Outboard motor|outboard motor]] for docking and manoeuvring.<ref name="Data"/><ref name="Guide"/><ref name="Lab"/><ref name="YDB"/>

The design has sleeping accommodation for four people, with a double "V"-berth in the bow cabin and two straight settees in the main cabin. The [[Engineering:Galley (kitchen)|galley]] is located on the port side just forward of the [[Engineering:Companionway|companionway]] ladder. The galley is equipped with a two-burner stove and a sink. A navigation station is opposite the galley, on the starboard side.
