== Satellite description ==
PAS-3R was constructed by Hughes Aircraft Corporation, based on the [[Engineering:Boeing 601|HS-601]] [[Engineering:Satellite bus|satellite bus]]. It had a mass at launch of {{cvt|2920|kg}}, which decreased to around {{cvt|1727|kg}} by the time it was operational.
