It is barely visible to the naked eye with an [[Astronomy:Apparent visual magnitude|apparent visual magnitude]] of 6.32.<ref name=Anderson2012/> based upon an annual [[Astronomy:Stellar parallax|parallax shift]] of {{Val|9.6|ul=mas}},<ref name=GaiaDR2/> it is located 341&nbsp;[[Astronomy:Light-year|light-year]]s from [[Astronomy:Earth|Earth]]. The system is moving further away with a heliocentric [[Astronomy:Radial velocity|radial velocity]] of +6&nbsp;km/s.<ref name=Gontcharov2006/>

The yellow-white-hued primary, component A, has an [[Astronomy:Apparent magnitude|apparent magnitude]] of +6.32 and [[Astronomy:Stellar classification|stellar classification]] of F2&nbsp;IV/V,<ref name=houk1979/> showing mixed traits of an [[Astronomy:F-type main-sequence star|F-type main-sequence star]] and a [[Astronomy:Subgiant|subgiant]]. It is classified as a [[Astronomy:Delta Scuti variable|Delta Scuti-type]] [[Astronomy:Variable star|variable star]] and its brightness varies from magnitude +6.28 to +6.39 with a period of 3.25 hours. A 2000 observing campaign identified at least six independent pulsation modes for this variation.<ref name=Mantegazza2000/> The companion star, component B, has an apparent magnitude of +9.65 and, as of 2000, is at an angular separation of {{Val|0.890|ul=arcsecond}} along a [[Astronomy:Position angle|position angle]] of 183°.<ref name=Fabricius2000/>
