'''NGC 6352''' (also known as '''Caldwell 81''') is a [[Astronomy:Globular cluster|globular cluster]] of stars in the southern [[Astronomy:Constellation|constellation]] of [[Astronomy:Ara (constellation)|Ara]], located approximately {{Convert|5.6|kpc|kly|1|disp=out|abbr=on|lk=on}}<ref name=Libralato2019/> from the [[Astronomy:Sun|Sun]]. It was discovered by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop on May 14, 1826.<ref name=cseligman/> The cluster has a [[Shapley–Sawyer Concentration Class]] of XI:.<ref name=hcob849_11/> A [[Astronomy:Telescope|telescope]] with a {{Convert|15|cm|in|abbr=on}} [[Astronomy:Aperture|aperture]] is required to resolve the stars within this loose cluster.<ref name="nightsky" />

This cluster is about 12.67<ref name=mnras404_3_1203/>&nbsp;billion years old with two distinct stellar populations; the second generation is only around 10&nbsp;million years younger than the first.<ref name=Libralato2019/> It lies approximately {{convert|4|kpc|kly|order=flip|abbr=on|lk=off}} from the [[Galactic Center]] and {{convert|0.5|kpc|kly|order=flip|abbr=on|lk=off}} from the [[Astronomy:Galactic plane|galactic plane]].<ref name=Fullton1995/> The orbital motion of this cluster through the [[Astronomy:Milky Way|Milky Way]] suggests it is a member of the [[Astronomy:Galactic bulge|bulge]] or [[Astronomy:Galactic disc|disk]] population.<ref name=Wagner-Kaiser2016/> It is relatively metal-rich for an object of this class,<ref name=Libralato2019/> having a [[Astronomy:Metallicity|metallicity]] of –0.70.<ref name=mnras404_3_1203/> The core radius is {{val|49.8|u=arcsecond}}<ref name=Libralato2019/> and the tidal radius is {{val|10.5|u=arcsecond}}.<ref name=Johnston1996/>
