The '''Atacama Submillimeter Telescope Experiment''' (ASTE) is a 10-meter-diameter antenna built by [[Company:Mitsubishi Electric|Mitsubishi Electric]] as a preprototype for [[Astronomy:Atacama Large Millimeter Array|ALMA]].

It is operated by the [[Organization:National Astronomical Observatory of Japan|National Astronomical Observatory of Japan]] and the University of Tokyo, Nagoya University, and Osaka Prefecture University, in cooperation with the Universidad de Chile.
