'''11 Aquarii''' is a sun-like [[Astronomy:Star|star]] in the [[Astronomy:Zodiac|zodiac]] [[Astronomy:Constellation|constellation]] of [[Astronomy:Aquarius (constellation)|Aquarius]], located 88.5&nbsp;[[Light year|light year]]s away from the Sun. ''11 Aquarii'' is the [[Astronomy:Flamsteed designation|Flamsteed designation]]. It is difficult to see with the naked eye, appearing as a dim, yellow-hued star with an [[Astronomy:Apparent visual magnitude|apparent visual magnitude]] of 6.22.<ref name=aaa418_989/> This body is moving closer to the Earth with a heliocentric [[Astronomy:Radial velocity|radial velocity]] of −17.8&nbsp;km/s,<ref name=aaa418_989/> and is expected to come as close as {{Convert|19.96|pc|ly|disp=out}} in 700,000&nbsp;years.<ref name=Anderson2012/>

It is  a [[Astronomy:G-type main-sequence star|G-type main-sequence star]] with a [[Astronomy:Stellar classification|stellar classification]] of G1&nbsp;V.<ref name=msom4/> Compared to the Sun, this star has a higher abundance of elements more massive than helium. This indicates it belongs to a class of stars called [[Astronomy:Metallicity|metal-rich]]. The star is slightly older than the Sun, but it has slightly more [[Astronomy:Solar mass|mass]] and has a larger [[Astronomy:Solar radius|radius]].<ref name=aaa418_989/><ref name=apjss168_2_297/> It is radiating 2.24<ref name=Anderson2012/> times the luminosity of the Sun from its [[Astronomy:Photosphere|photosphere]] at an [[Astronomy:Effective temperature|effective temperature]] of 5,973&nbsp;K.<ref name=aaa487_1_373/>
